There is a 3 inch section of the window that will not recognize the mouse. It will not let you click on the icons or screen in any way in this section under the address bar. It is only in firefox where this is a problem

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Thank you. I think I figured it out. Looks like it was the yahoo toolbar causing all the problems
