Why have repetivitve sites been added to my bookmarks?

Since the last update, bookmarks has added numerous versions of "get involved" and "help and tutorials" to my list that I did not put there. Editing does not delete them and my list of bookmarks is so long that sites I want are difficult to find. There may be other lines added to my list that I did not place there but these are the ones I notice the most as I may have as many as 20 - 30 versions listed there.
