After updating to Quantum, trying to login to Microsoft does this: https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/oauth2/undefined

I am using Windows 10 1703. When I try to access the office.com login, or any sharepoint links, the page begins to load, then redirects to /common/oauth2/undefined and a blank page. I have tried restarting in safe mode, and clearing my cache and cookies.

If you use a bookmark then navigate to the web page starting with the main page or the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.


You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

You may want to go into Bios and turn off the on-board chip. It is in the #1 position while might want to use the AMD as main card. Also is a conflict and using more ram and producing heat.

I had tried clearing cache and history through the Clear Recent History option, selecting Cookies and Cache, and setting Time Range to Everything. It didn't seem to help at all. I had also tried the Restart in Safe Mode. Neither of those did anything.

However, when I cleared the microsoft.com cookies and the cache through the Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security tab, everything started working again. Admittedly, there were a few weird hiccups with office.com claiming at first that my Microsoft address wasn't a real address, and some odd reloads, but now everything is running smoothly. Thank you!

Pkshadow, I didn't have to use the virus scan (I usually scan with multiple engines, as it is) since the problem was resolved in another way, but I have a question about the graphics card. My computer is a Dell refurb, so it didn't come with Catalyst drivers. In fact, it acts as if it doesn't have a video card, most of the time. I assume I would have to install the latest drivers before doing anything, but what then? I haven't played around with BIOS settings since Windows 98. How do I make sure I don't ruin my laptop?
