i'm trying to fix the lag in my browser but i don't really know where to find the layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled. my firefox is using dutch as the operating language which doens't really help with finding an answer

Hello,

That is located in your Firefox Configuration. My understanding is that the steps are the same regardless of the language. Please do the following:

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" (Dutch equivalent) warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.

There is a search bar on top of the list and you can search for the layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled preference and make changes there.
