verizon Mail is working fine from google chrome, gmail is working fine. I have tried all the fixes listed. This all started 7/23/14 after the 31.0 update. continually get the null 404 error message.

Hello,

Thanks for letting us know about your problem. We will investigate about it. But I think it is not a issue of Firefox, it may be a issue of Verizon. Though we dont recommend you to go at previous version of Firefox, but as you need to use your email, and you would like to downgrade, you can download Firefox 30 from following link.

Install an older version of Firefox

Please let us know if this is helpful.

Regards

The preferred link for older versions of Firefox is this help article: Install an older version of Firefox.

Thanks for the effort jscher but I have read and tried the solutions you referred to. I fear the warnings firefox has about going back to 30, so I will use google chrome for the meantime. Both gmail and verizon.net work fine on chrome

I note someone apparently with this issue commented (bug1043690#c2)

To be more accurate, The problem is unable to reply/forward/save draft e-mails. Sending a new email is OK

If you need a temporary method of using Firefox with Verizon until this bug is resolved then; as a Windows user; consider installing and using as an additional browser the unofficial, third party build, of Firefox ESR portable

That may be installed without affecting your current Firefox install and should be safe and secure.
