I cannot watch a video on youtube when it is in the process of being live streamed. I remember a time when I was able to, years ago, but I can't any longer. I'm not sure what has changed. I found an article that says to install the optional update called "Windows Media Pack" in apps and features, but no app with that name exists. It was only a year old solution, so I'm unsure of what changed so significantly. I just installed another optional windows update, and also updated the browser, but still doesn't work.

Edition Windows 10 Home Version 21H2 Installed on ‎09-‎Jun-‎20 OS build 19044.1466 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0

Firefox: 97.0 (64-bit)

I found the problem. A month or so ago I wanted a way to buffer entire videos. One solution suggested to change media.mediasource.enabled from True to False, in the configurations. I changed it back to True and this fixed the problem.

If I have not been clear enough, let me correct that.

I cannot watch any video on youtube that is being live streamed.

None of them work. Zero. Period. That is my problem. Thanks.

What happens in Firefox Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-4troubleshoot-modesf5safe-modesf What security software are you running? Have you tried Windows in Safe Mode? https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Windows+in+Safe+Mode

If by safe mode you mean 'incognito' mode, it does not work. I've also done with all addons disabled, restarted browser, and tried again. Does not work. I don't have any bloat anti virus crap, so that cannot be a problem. No, I didn't try it in safe mode. I guess I can give it a try.

Same problem. I've refreshed and reset Firefox. I've tried disabling add ons, restarted in safe mode, the works. I have Developer Edition by the way and current version is 102.0b3 (64-bit). I'm on Windows 8.1 and have done nothing different to my system. This problem just started happening. The media.mediasource.enabled doesn't do anything. Google Chrome does play livestreams. Also I've been having issues with Youtube videos constantly buffering. I have several extensions and one theme installed, however, that shouldn't cause this problem as this issue just came up this week (current day is June 3, 2022). I've been using Firefox for years now and this has become frustrating. I don't want to have to change to Chrome, but unless Firefox handles this I'll have no alternative.

Please address.
