So basically, video on Youtube plays fine, as long as its focused. When I focus to another window on my other monitor the video drop FPS to like 15 FPS range, which is turbo annoying. Any idea how to fix this crap?

I asked friendly & helpful volunteer @jscher2000 a couple of days ago about the Strange Case of the Disappearing Bookmarks that suddenly befell me in FF last week.

Last night, the Bookmarks came back - or came back in part, so to speak. ~ ~ There are outstanding problems. I hope these too resolve themselves or can be resolved in the near future, as it is a bit debilitating.

So, what are my current issues/problems with Bkmrks in FF?

1) Can't search my Bookmarks any more.

I enter a search term in the Bkmrks Search box (whether all Bookmarks or a defined subsection/folder I have made) - never a response but blank (though I know that term is among bookmarks somewhere) - and then, the content list of that sub-folder of my Bookmarks even goes blank when I search there. (That content list returns when I click on another folder and back to that one, but that's not much consolation.)

2) Problem adding any new Bookmarks.

Though the "Bookmarks Star" lights up when I try to add a new Bkmrk - suggesting it has been saved - the new saves are nowhere visible among "Bookmarks". Not under the folder I chose to save them to (or tried), nor anywhere else I can see under Bookmarks, such as in the general folder.

3) Can't even Export Bookmarks any more - as html or in any other format.

I go to Manage Bookmarks, etc., and click "Export as html" ,,, nothing happens. There is no trace of an exported html or other file at the location where I decided to save the file.

(To explain what may be obvious: the point of the (attempted) Exportation on this occasion is to (try to) investigate, access the saved Bookmarks, retrieve the sites, etc.)

Can anyone help - or maybe offer solace that FF might fix itself or be fixed in the near future? Like I said, it's a bit debilitating for work, research and entertainment alike.

I should perhaps add that I prefer to use a laptop (HP) where possible.

I get a "Sorry, the video player failed to load.(Error Code: 104153)" error when clicking links from a search for a video, if that video is available on YouTube it opens and plays just fine, not from other websites though - and it should. Fix?

Windows 11. I have my taskbar behaviour set to ‘Automatically hide the Taskbar’ So usually the Taskbar is not displayed, but when I move my cursor to the bottom of the screen it reappears. With Firefox I cannot make the Taskbar reappear.

Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to wafid.com. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.

Facebook audio is delayed in videos. Video is muted, then when unmuted the video does not start right away. Then the sound is seconds off. Tried lots of setting changes with no success.

Tried MS Edge and had no issues. This is the second computer that I have had this issue and I had to start using another browser as I could not resolve the issue. But I prefer Firefox. I have a new Apple Mac Mini and my old Mac Mini does not have this issue.

I switched from chrome to firefox, chrome has a function for extensions to work in the "background", but here I can't find this function, without it I can't switch songs with binds when something else is open

Firefox keeps crashing on my laptop I've had it run very successfully on the same laptop the first time i installed it it crashed the same way it does now but one day it randomly worked and continued working for about 9 months however at some point it crashed and i deleted it and reinstalled many times at best i have downloaded it and have managed it to run for about 10 minutes then closed and failed to load properly now it fails to launch completely at worst it doesnt run at all .i have tryed downloading it from the microstoft store and your website this time i downloaded it from Microsoft please help!

I want to hide the "Search with Google" option from the right-hand menu in Firefox. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me if there's a way to do this. when I try to access the Gallery photos page on OneDrive, especially in the 'For you' section, I get a gray screen and nothing happens. When I check the console, it shows the issues I've captured in the screenshot. I tried this on Mac and Ubuntu with a fresh profile and a clear internet connection. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? Firefox Version is the latest 142.0.1 No problem with Vivaldi, Chrome etc.

I always use Full Screen mode on MacOS (^⌘F). However, when I press the escape key, it always leaves Full Screen mode. This is annoying when browsing: whenever there is a popup which you should be able to leave with pressing 'Esc', the browser goes out of Full Screen. Why does 'Esc' lead to leaving Full Screen, when there is a dedicated key command to do this (^⌘F)? At least there should be a option to change this behaviour.
