Problem with my Yahoo sign into email with Firefox.

When I use FF to sign into my Yahoo email account. It takes my sign in etc, but then a popup ads appears got IE8 download. You can not get beyond the popup ad to your mail. .. When I use chrome, I can sign into my Yahoo email account with without any problems. . Should never upgraded to the next level of FF.

Any suggestions or better, any solutions?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

It worked....I can not sign into my Yahoo email account without any popup ads from Yahoo for IE8 or its toolbar. .. I did go to the default theme and sticking with it. .. Thanks guys for all your help and especially to cor-el ...

Now, I can use firefox again.. for what it is worth, it was only on that one yahoo account, not the others. Odd, indeed. thanks again..
