why is the print on my display screen is faded

My macmini has been working really well for over 3 years but around the end of November afternot using it for about two weeks and I signed in I found this effect on the printed screen where the letters are becoming faded as time goes by I have to zoom on the screen up to 130% to be normal print for reading. One thing that happened at the same time that this became noticeable is that I got my yahoo email account hacked to the point that I was unable to retrieve it. I ended up creating a new email account through outlook one more thing that changed after that incident is that now when I turn on my computer I get adds when I click a link on that I am looking at and it takes me to a new window with the add or they appear on the right lower side of the screen. Thank you for your help!

That sounds more like malware infections has taken place on your system. Especially if you getting popups redirecting you.

If you have not already run this cleaner for Mac, it may help:
