My macmini has been working really well for over 3 years but around the end of November afternot using it for about two weeks and I signed in I found this effect on the printed screen where the letters are becoming faded as time goes by I have to zoom on the screen up to 130% to be normal print for reading. One thing that happened at the same time that this became noticeable is that I got my yahoo email account hacked to the point that I was unable to retrieve it. I ended up creating a new email account through outlook one more thing that changed after that incident is that now when I turn on my computer I get adds when I click a link on that I am looking at and it takes me to a new window with the add or they appear on the right lower side of the screen.
