Query about new "keep site data when closing" permission

Hello, I wanted to ask about this new site permission.

I previously used the "set cookies" permission for specific sites to keep their data after closing Firefox (Dev Edition), but now we have this "keep site data when closing" permission, can I just rely on this new permission instead? I should probably test it, but I wanted to ask first :p

Was I using the "set cookies" permission incorrectly this whole time?!

Thanks, +-

I think they were just split into two different cases, and the site exceptions migrated, so you can now manage one list, without affecting the other.

"Sites can now be exempted from having their cookies and site data cleared on shutdown without also being exempted from tracking protection and other cookie restrictions." is the actual changelog entry in firefox.com/firefox/154.0/releasenotes

Ah, it does indeed look like the exceptions were migrated, so I don't think I will need to use the "set cookies" permission (my default is allow anyway).

Thanks (again!)
