This is my error code: bp-b9b9c80e-b9ae-42f4-9dff-b2ee00211028

On certain websites, for example unsplash as described in the error code, Firefox always crashes. First the whole window including the menu bars will flash white and then it will crash... Opening in troubleshoot mode will lead to the same result.

Thank you if you can help me.

Bug 1511493 Opened 3 years ago Updated 2 months ago Looks to be an issue with fonts.

[v56+] Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Under fonts and colors, press the Advanced button. Scroll to the bottom, turn on Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own.

Make sure you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the OS settings.

  • We have seen reports that this can be caused by a problem with fonts like Roboto or Helvetica that

you have installed locally and that might be corrupted or are missing some variants. Also, make sure you allow pages to choose their own fonts and that you do not block remote (downloadable) fonts.

  • If you use uBlock Origin make sure not to "block remote fonts".

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Thank you for your help. I meant to say it crashes on unsplash.com in my original post. It also crashes on dropbox.com. You were right with the font problem. although it's the other way round. If I tick the box on "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" then it crashes. If I untick it, it works. Ublock also doesn't block the fonts in my normal setting. I have Roboto and various Helvetica variants installed. I can't uninstall all the fonts because it's a work computer do you have another workaround?

I called for more help.

I suggest you use your own fonts for now.
