I am trying to sync my addons to another computer. Apparently the addons I have on the primary computer are not synced to the server. The sync-log says "[addon] not syncable: is foreign install." The About Sync addon shows that data for two addons are on the server, one of them About Sync, while I have a lot more on my primary computer. I may have synced the addons from the secondary computer first, so that might explain why the server knows only about two addons.

So I am trying to wipe the addon data from the server and sync the addons from my primary computer. I have signed out all but the primary computer from the Mozilla account. I have tried signing in and out of the Mozilla account and changing the password to wipe the server data, but that does not seem to work.

Wiping the addon data via About Sync > addons > Engine Actions > Wipe addons does not seem to work, either. After syncing About Sync shows that there are two addons on the server again.

What else can I try to wipe the addon data on the server or to sync my addons from the primary to the secondary computer?

my firefox browser switches to how it will look on windows 7 for a split second and back to original view, i run it on windows 11 , also when i run multiple firefox windows minimized side by side it often crashes

Recently my browser will open a Settings tab whenever I click on an autofill dropdown selection. Any autofill selection from username/passwords to simple Name/phonenumber/etc autofills. It's very annoying and I can figure out why it's doing it. How do I make it stop? I'm running Firefox 126.0.1 (64-bit) on a Windows PC.

Why do I need a new profile every single little update? How can I get my saved session, bookmarks, history, open tabs, extensions and preferences from my old profile? Manually copying files from the old profile is not a solution - it's a workaround and not a great one. Lots of things get left behind. Alternatively: what file in my "old" profile do I need to manipulate to trick Firefox into using it with the new version?

My system repeated asks if I want Firefox to be my default browser. Equally as many times I have indicated yes but why doesn't it stick? Running Win10 latest update. Please help me get rid of this annoyance.

Using the shortcut Ctrl + Cmd + Space is suppose to open the Emoji panel, however it disappear instantly.

I have already heard that this could happen if you download FF in a specific language and then change it to another language (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1563862). I have deinstalled everything and reinstalled without changing the language, and it still don't work properly.

I'm a swiss french user, so my keyboard is configured for "French - Swiss" and Firefox is in French.

How do I turn on autofill in firefox 125/126? There are help pages that say go to settings>privacy> and turn autofill on. But there is no autofill mentioned anywhere in that page. The only reference that autofill comes up with when typed in the search bar in settings is in import settings. How is this so difficult to enable, its basic functionality 10 years ago. I've also tried going to extensions.formautofill.supportedCountries and extensions.formautofill.addresses.supportedCountries and adding my country (why this is a thing is bizarre as well).

Hello, I have a very weak internet connection and I've been experimenting with ways to lessen the burden of the slow connection by increasing the time that the cache from websites can stay on my computer (I've already increased browser.cache.disk.capacity and set browser.cache.check_doc_frequency to 2, but the files still end up expiring eventually forcing them to be re-downloaded even though I know these cache files never change).

So far I've had some success with this extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cache-longer/) it definitely works but very inconsistently so I've tried to directly edit the cache files found in Profiles\someprofile.default-release\cache2\entries but every time I edit the max-age on the cache-control line or any other line firefox just erases the cache file completely then re-downloads it.

TL;DR - Is there someway of getting firefox to ignore the cache file expiry dates and cache-control age or at least editing these files to extend their life?

i'm missing some of the default search engines in the bar ebay and amazon. i hit the button "restore default search engines" in setting to try and fix it no luck. only give me back wikipedia, bing, duckduckgo but not amazon and ebay two sites i visit a lot.

this been happening to me for the past year and every time i had to go in the c drive and delete the mozilla folders and reinstall firefox to get them back. then use it after a month or two later they disappeared for no reason. this only happens on my desktop and not my laptop how do i make this stop happening?

Every day on the second or third tab the website will not load. If I open firefox again the site will load immediately. These can be bookmarked sites previously used one million times or linked sites embedded in a current tab. Your support pages have not helped. I'm about to ditch Firefox MS Edge!

I am on a mailing list from the Smithsonian Magazine. I receive a daily email containing links to interesting stories. The links work and take me to the correct page, however, I am unable to scroll the page up to read the article. They used to scroll, but not now when I go there by clicking a link in the email. The email also contains a link named View in Browser, and the email appears in Firefox and I can scroll the email, but if I click on a link in that email displayed in the browser, the page still will not scroll up. Problem not present in Chrome or Edge. I previously reported this to Mozilla in Feedback and to the Smithsonian about 2 weeks ago, but still no change in his strange behavior. I'm an instructor that uses Blackboard at college. When I click in the text entry box to enter my grades, I'm given a list of previously entered grades to choose from. The list is in ascending order. Is there any way to get this list in descending order? One other point, until recently it used to display the value that was used most often at the top, which was often 100. Now it's in ascending order. I've attached a snippet of what I mean.

I just did a clean install on a new windows 11 machine. Every time I close Firefox I get a report crash screen from Firefox. When I close it and restart Firefox everything is fine, but very annoying! I have search every where with no luck for a fix. I did turn off my FSecure which made no difference If it continues I guess after all these years I will have to change browsers,which I don't want to do.

Hello everyone! I am having a pretty strange issue with my [website ], it shows an SSL certificate on all the other browsers, but, on Mozilla Firefox, it shows not secure issue, which is quite pressing. Can anybody tell me what's wrong here?

after the download of v.126.0 i discover my history, all of it, has been deleted. in its place is a single web site, which shows up as the only web site visited across a time span going back months. this single web site cannot be deleted from the history. it cannot be deleted through the settings menu. no new history is created by web visits. the persisting single web site is among the sites in my tool bar, but is also a site i have not recently visited (months before this happened).

I use passkey verification for a website. In other browsers, I can get a QR code to scan with my phone to login. In Firefox, I only get a popup saying Touch your security key to continue with <site> (image attached). In Chromium, I have options for both (image attached). Is this possible in Firefox?

I used CCleaner this morning to scan and clean up my computer. (I did it over the weekend as well and it didn't affect my Firefox). Now I can't even open Firefox. the icon on my windows taskbar is gone as well. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall Firefox, but that didn't work. I also tried to "refresh" Firefox (or whatever it is called that is recommended when trying to uninstall).

Please help. I really need my Firefox to work!
