Windows 10 - Pro Lenovo T490 ( Lenovo LTD installed firmware update 6/19 & 17/26 (respectively - 1st time I've EVER seen this): 1.0.0.28 & 1.0.0.85

An icon is missing from my desktop which I normally use to open FF. I have noticed issues when NOT using this icon previously - like there is a different version or ID attached - I need to get this back. Data Loss (Clippings) / Again !! - I'm not sure who is at fault. When I display Settings - I notice a HUGE difference in that there is NO General tab (attached) as there was when I reported this (similar to me) issue last 2 weeks ago (see original problem report link).

When I use Recovery: I have a file displayed: Location C:\Users\pc\Desktop\Old Firefox Data\wu6w9pz8.default-release\sessionstore-backups Last modified 6/8/2026, 8:07 PM (3rd time in this doesn't show - right after copying the filename !~)

I believe I need to use this as my production / live version & need instructions on how to recover / restore this. I have NOT YET used Windows Recovery (but I will look at it) - Microsoft Visual C++ was installed - 2 restore points as of this morning. (I may be wrong).

last night when i closed the system down, i had 5 spacial tabs with names, and apx 50 other tabs open, come to start the system this morning.. all gone.. nothing.. just a new firefox.. all my history.. gone... this is not good, as the 5 spacial tabs that i had where from seriten sits that need to be their,and now.. just gone.. the lot... and all the setting are correct..

Running windows 10. I installed the newest vewrsion of Firefox, and now I can see or find bookmarks anywhere. I tried the tutorial but I dont see anywhere in my computer where a list of bookmarks are.

when i updated linux a newer firefox version was installed but none of my personal settings, passwords or bookmarks installed onto the new firefox version. can't access my previous profil on my computer

I am at a complete loss on this. A recent firefox update has shifted all my site logins and passwords elsewhere in mystery and impossible to recover nor find them. I tried "Restore bookmarks, passwords and data from an old Firefox profile" but the profile is simply not there and the instructions completely haywire. I have nothing on the profile page. What have you lot done to make this completely unusable for the small person ? I thought I was computer savvy but now firefox is making things unnecessarily invisible and over-complex.

I have [[created a backup file|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-backup#w_protect-your-sensitive-data-with-a-password]] today with the latest available Firefox and switched to a new OS. Sadly, the backup file somehow seems to have gotten damaged, even if Firefox still recognizes when I'm inputting the wrong password. On Ubuntu, where I originally created the backup and where I tested it again after things weren't working out, Firefox tells me that there is an issue with the file and that I should try a different one (which I don't have). On CachyOS, which I'm currently testing out, restoring the backup never finishes and Firefox doesn't exit cleanly. In hindsight I obviously should 1) have tested the backup immediately, 2) not have wiped my laptop prematurely, and 3) have backed up the folders manually, but I haven't. Now the question: is there some way to extract the account details from the .html file? I don't care much about the rest, but restoring the accounts in some other fashion is gonna be a lot of work.

I had a catastrophic failure of my desktop computer. They were unable to recover over half my files. My bookmarks in Firefox had links to several critical business pages and I really need to get them back however I have been unable to access them or recover them. Is there any way for these to be recovered if the backup wasn't on? I know its a long shot but I have to ask.

I had issues with my phone and had to do a full factory reset. I have since logged back into firefox but I want go be able to recover all of the tabs I had open and all of the collections I had saved. Is that possible?

I just updated to the latest version of Mozilla FireFox and my bookmarks dissappeard.

All are gone, I wonder how I can get them back?

Hello, I've got a problem with my account after something log me off the account for no reason then I put in new password and boom nothing my all passwords are gone please these passwords are really important for me, I need them back and I will be thankful if I could get any advice how to get them back because I had something around 100 of them now I got one only one please help me out im freaking out.

Foxfire updated a couple days ago, when it did it lost all my latest saved bookmarks. When I go to uninstall that maintainese package, I am denied access to do so.

Please for the love of all things holy... Tell me how I can restore my windows from my previous PC? I'm taking waaaaaayyyyyy to long just to get my windows sessions back... Also, why on earth did you remove the delete button from the search engines in settings? I need Google gone!!!

Reiniciei o PC e, quando abri o Firefox, todos os separadores anteriores desapareceram, e não consegui restaurar a sessão anterior, nem consegui ver as janelas ou separadores anteriores no histórico. Não é a primeira vez que isto me acontece.

Podes ajudar-me a recuperar estas abas abertas?

Não percebo porque não há forma de guardar esta informação em algum lugar quando um PC crasha ou ocorre outra situação, porque se os separadores estiverem abertos há algum tempo, essa informação deve ser guardada, tal como os separadores que foram fixados, para não perder trabalho. Isto nunca me aconteceu no Chrome porque devem ter outra forma de guardar. Consigo ver no histórico os separadores que foram abertos todos os dias (hoje, ontem, há uma semana), mas muitos estavam fechados e outros mantive abertos, e não consigo aceder a esta informação porque os que estão abertos são os que realmente me importam neste momento.

During cleaning up by CCleaner, accidentally the Histrory of the Firefox Browser (open folders and apps) all were deleted. Is there a way to retrieve and restore the then open folders ?

After the last update - all my 12 years of data is gone? No bookmarks or anything? No warning to do a backup? That's ridiculous guys. The only option you provided me with is 32 character recovery key I set up in 2022? Well I dont have it. Can't recover it. And if you don't intend to assist in some way - it's Game Over Firefox for me!
