Bookmark Recovery
I had a catastrophic failure of my desktop computer. They were unable to recover over half my files. My bookmarks in Firefox had links to several critical business pages and I really need to get them back however I have been unable to access them or recover them. Is there any way for these to be recovered if the backup wasn't on? I know its a long shot but I have to ask.

Have you checked your Profiles. Each has a [bookmarksbackup} folder.
If you have more than one profile check each and if their is one with a date before your crash then that maybe the place to look.
You don't say what OS you are using, nor give any Firefox versions, so no indication of when this happened.. In the URL/address bar you can type [about:profiles] to see where and which profiles are currently available, and of course the path to search any profile, shown or hidden.
