Can't make bookmarks sidebar narrower
I can't make the bookmarks sidebar narrow. This problem just stared a couple of days ago. When I open the sidebar, it takes up about 1/3 of my screen. I can put my mouse pointer on the edge of the sidebar, and it turns in to the double arrow, but I can't drag it to the left. I can drag it to the right, but that don't help me. I tried rebooting and it still won't let me drag it to the left. I have version 17.0.1. If you have any help, I would appreciate it, Thanks, Shawn. shawnd518@yahoo.com

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled
- the default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored
- the default toolbar layout is used
- the Javascript JIT compiler is disabled
- hardware acceleration is disabled
