What happened to the microphone icon in the search widget?
Ever since the most recent stable Firefox update for Android; 151.0 (Build #2016160831), I noticed that the microphone icon is missing from the search widget.
Now when I tap where the mic is supposed to be in the widget it just opens Firefox without letting me voice type search. Is this a bug, or is it functioning as intended?

No, it still should be there. Try enabling Settings -> Search -> Voice search.
You are made of awesome good sir! The issue was that the voice search toggle was moved under AI controls in settings. Since I'm not a big fan of the current AI rush going on around the world, I had AI enhancements disabled. That inevitably disabled voice search without me being aware that was the case.
What's puzzling about that though, is I was still able to do a voice search from within the browser, even with voice search disabled as per above.
