Hello,

Firefox closing all windows is essential to load the new updated browser into every window. This helps prevent data corruption. Another reason is that firefox cannot modify files that are currently in use in the browser, which requires restarting.

I would recommend syncing tabs or having them saved somewhere before restarting, and that when you update, it is better to do it at the end of the day, where usage is less, therefore will not hinder with tab usage as much.
