Picture-in-Picture Option

The picture-in-picture setting use to keep the detached video visible if I scrolled the original or source page past the video player. Now the detached video disappears and reverts back to the source page when I scroll this control out of view. Is this change intentional and permanent?

Hi, nothing really has been changed with PiP on our side.

The behavior is as I described while the video is playing. From your response, it indicates that the change was not intentional.

Can you provide steps to reproduce this issue? Thanks.

Navigate to the youtube site, click a video and start it playing. Click the picture-in-picture symbol in the playing video to pop it out into its own view. Return to the source page of the video and scroll it down so that the video player scrolls out of view. The pop out video disappears and reverts to the player in the source page. This player is no longer visible, but the video continues playing there without interruption.

Before the last release of Firefox, the pop out video would continue playing in the pop out view.

Sorry, I can't reproduce it on my laptop.
