Below the Recent bookmarks list, do you have Manage bookmarks at the bottom? If not, you can call it up using

Ctrl+Shift+O (as in Organizer)

That Library window which opens has a small search box on the right. If you search for a bookmark in the misplaced folder, then in the results list, right-click it and choose Show in Folder, the right pane should scroll to where that folder is now.

As for the Sync problem, hmm, I'm not sure how Firefox reconciles the multiple conflicting locations.

Thanks, it is in the "Ctrl+Shift+O" list, but not in my computer. So how do I move/add it back into bookmark tool bar. I did not dare to try anything, I don't want to really loose it
