For some reason, all of a sudden, the auto-fill for passwords and other things does not work. They appear for about 1 second or less, not enough time to "click' on it and then it disappears.

I have no idea what is wrong. My firefox is up-to-date. I have to manually type every password, etc. on various pages and it is extremely annoying.

Please help!

Thanks,

Can you use "Use Saved Login/Password" in the right-click context menu ?

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the Default System theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

I tried the troubleshooting and it did not work. I actually refreshed Firefox and it still did not work. Could it be some setting within my laptop?

Did you try to reboot the computer ?

Yes, of course. I have rebooted many times. I tried to update windows, but I am already up-to-date. I have tried every commonsense type of trick imaginable.

Does the right-click context menu work ?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.
