So I have Firefox set to open a certain set of pages each time I open the browser. It does that, however, it's not the latest version of the page therefore I have to manually reload the tab to get to the latest version. This is a pain in the ass. Chrome dynamically refreshes pages each time you open the browser. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing or is this just how it's going to be?

The only way I know of to get the latest version when you start is to prevent using the cached page by using "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the browsing cache.
