How do I get rid of the little stick man that floats on the lower left of pages I open?

The little image shown will appear and float on the left bottom of pages I open including secure pages that require me to log in to enter. That little stick man I consider a security threat and have tried to get rid of it to no avail.

The picture I captured of it was when it was on blue background. If on white background, just the circle with the stick man in it.

How can I delete it?

Hi Walter, based on the Audioeye website, it is intended that web developers will integrate it with their websites.

You might see it on multiple websites if they all share a common platform, but I'm not sure why it would only appear in one of your two browsers. Maybe there is a setting or add-on that is blocking it on your desktop which is not configured the same way on your laptop. ??

If you see it on ALL sites, is it possible that you have a web development add-on that integrates it? Add-on settings often do not Sync, so you need to double-check the settings on each installation.

Hi Walter, it reminds me of the Accessibility Service icon. Could you try disabling that service? The following article has the steps for how to do that:

What is the Accessibility Service Indicator?

In the Table of Contents near the top of the article, I suggest starting from the section titled "Should I disable Firefox Accessibility Service?"

Was that it, or is it something else?

Thanks!

I note that when the eye-con is clicked on it says: Audioeye

It has a settings feature to to monitor all aspects of every page you visit.

I followed the instructions of the article you provided and changed the "0" to "1"

I went to the Audioeye website and it said to disable, log into your account to do so, and I do not have an account with Audioeye.

This Audioeye software was a concern to me being it accessed everything on the page you were on, so if entering log-on info such as username and password, it had the ability to capture them and save them to the Audioeye cloud site. So ethics came to play of: if they were doing so. It noted their software was safe, but then when ethics came to play, I do not like being open to if the ethics were true, or false.

Did Firefox add this without asking me if I wanted it?

I in no way accepted it for use in my browser, it just appeared.

On a last note, there was no way to easily remove it, and Audioeye was listed no where in my normal settings to remove it. If Firefox installed it, they should have an "ON" or OFF" tab to activate or deactivate it.

Thanks again,

Walter ____________

Thanks again.

I did a test after I set the "0" to "1"

It now does not appear on all of the sites I tested except for one, my ISP log on page. ipage.com

As you note, they may have it incorporated into their site.

Thanks again,
