After restarting on 97.0.1, pages and plugins not loading
Rebooted my PC.
When it restarted, Firefox had reset all of the settings and disconnected from Sync (though my account was still signed in). Bookmarks, history, etc were retained. This can happen with updates, and I understand.
No websites outside of Mozilla.org domains are loading. My VPN is not enabled, and other browsers load perfectly fine. I'm not using a proxy.
Plugins seem to not be functioning. On the toolbar, only a couple show up. The rest are blank icons, and can not be interacted with (either nothing happens, or a shadow of an empty menu appears).
Going to fully reinstall, because... why not, at this point, but this is not a good issue.

Update: A reset corrected the issue, but on two subsequent reboots, the issue repeated, resetting everything.
Did you check for issues caused by your security software ?
It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox application. Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

After a complete wipe of FF and all Mozilla data, it had several restarts performing normally.
This morning, it seemingly randomly reset everything again.
The issue, I believe, is with the user profile.
Every time I restart now, I have to uninstall/reset FF, close the browser, import a backup profile I made with a good version of my settings, then... reload settings for every extension and setup that got reset.
Frankly, this is unworkable to the point of causing me to use alternative browsers, which I really do not want to do.

Thank you for your reply, but the issue with pages not loading seems to have resolved after the reinstall. The issue with every profile and extension setting just being discarded remains.
