You can find the restore functioning for using compressed backup in the bookmarkbackups folder in the Bookmarks Manager (Library). *Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks -> Import & Backup -> Restore *https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them ---- Note that restoring a JSON backup will replace all existing bookmarks, so you lose bookmarks newer than the time this backup was created. The name of the JSON backup (bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.jsonlz4) includes the total number of bookmark items in the file and a hash to check if it is necessary to save a new backup, so only if the hash is different because bookmarks have been modified then a new backup is created. Note that if you notice you lost bookmarks or accidentally deleted bookmark(s) and you haven't closed Firefox yet that you can use "Organize -> Undo" in the bookmarks manager (Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks) to undo this action and restore bookmark(s) you deleted accidentally or otherwise lost/misplaced. You may have to use Undo more than once (Firefox keeps a full undo history for the current session).
