When I try to receive messages I get error that POP3 is not using functions UIDL and XTND and that I should switch of "keep mails on the server" function.

When I try to receive messages I get error that POP3 is not using functions UIDL and XTND and that to receive e-mails I should switch of "keep mails on the server" function. But I don't want to because I like to keep copies of my e-mails on the server. The e-mail I use is yahoo, I haven't changed any configuration, didn't install anything. Seems like it just changed itself. Any suggestions how can I receive my e-mails to Thunderbird while keeping it on the Yahoo servers?
