How to get my usual firefox search/browser page. All I get is "Give Firefox a tune up"

[Desktop Dell Inspiron 560 4gb RAM; high speed cable; MS Windows10 64bit; Windows Live Mail 2012(awful!!!); MS Word Pro 2003; Mozilla Firefox; Avast AV; Windows Media Player; Adobe Reader; Adobe flash Player]

Hi, it all started when a techie came to fix my computer. When he left I had Google for a search page and not Firefox Search/Browser anymore. I always had Firefox/Browser and want it back. BUT, after I did all I could to get Firefox back, I keep getting this page (see the screenshot please).

How to get back my usual Firefox search/browse page please?

Thanks ever so much for prompt response.  :o)

Hi, please try clicking on Restore to Default as shown in How to set the home page. (For reference, the Firefox start page address is about:home).

If you need to change your search engine, see Change your default search settings in Firefox

Thank you so much, Scribe. I thought of finding and clicking on "Restore to Default too, but because someone had told me to make Internet Explorer as my default in order to transfer some difficult photos, I was afraid it would restore to the IE.

Should I still click "Restore to Default"?

Thanks again.

THANK YOU scribe!!! I got back my Firefox Browser and home page! I thought it was also a search engine but found out that it's a browser and Google is my search engine both of which I like.

Thanks so much again!  :o) Adela

Hi, no it won't change your default browser, although it's possible you may get a message asking if you want to set Firefox as your default - if you do, just select No, and if there is a 'Don't ask me again' box - select it.

If you prefer, you can just delete whatever is in 'Home Page', and if you want the Firefox start page, just type in about:home

You can of course set a home page of your choice instead by following the instructions in How to set the home page
