I have this error popping out on my screen each time I'm turning off my computer when Firefox is working and in the tray.

Are you getting a Firefox has crashed popup?

Make sure Firefox is completely shutdown before you shutdown your computer. If Firefox is still running then it can crash.

Here is the image of the problem. I always use my little handy program to turn off my computer after 10 minutes while I fall asleep to the music, so now it becomes a kind of major problem for me after this started popping out....

The only plugin running in the 64-bit version of Firefox on Windows is Flash. Something is going wrong with the code Flash is running during shutdown.

Since you are having Windows terminate all running applications, perhaps it's an issue with the sequence in which that is happening? It is safest to exit Firefox normally using the menus:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
  • (menu bar) File > Exit

Does the error still occur in that case?

For Win64 Firefox it is 64-bit Flash Player and Silverlight plugins that are white listed to run since Firefox 43.0 Release. It was Win64 Fx 42.0 that only had 64-bit Flash Player white listed.

I have to manually exit Firefox each time I turn off the computer. Also, The thing is that before, it didn't show anything like this, so the program I wrote for it to shut down worked. Now it's not, and I don't really have time to go into the program and rewrite it so it closes Firefox before shutting off the computer.
