Please try resetting your Firefox layout. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Enter about:customizing into the Firefox address bar
  2. Press Restore Defaults
  3. Press Exit Customize

This should reset all of your Firefox buttons on the toolbar.

Note: You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Please note that you can also access the Firefox options by entering about:preferences into the Firefox address bar.

If your settings button is missing in the Firefox menu, it is probably because the button was removed from your layout. To fix this, please do the following:

  1. Press the Firefox menu button New Fx Menu
  2. Press the Customize button
  3. Drag and drop the Options button into the Firefox menu
  4. Press Exit Customize to save the changes

This should bring back your settings button. Please let us know if it worked for you?

The cogwheel icon to open the about:preferences page is normally located in the 3-bar Menu button drop-down list.

Hi all,

Maybe i did not make myself clear on the initial post.

My issue is that i just don't have that 3 stripes button on top right side of firefox, as you can see on the attached image.

So i can't access to any of the settings that are available on this button.

Regards

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: 3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Try to rename (or delete) the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder. You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Try to reset browser.uiCustomization.state on the about:config page via the right-click context menu to the default value.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
