When I go to options the selection is stuck on the general tab, I am not able to select other tabs.

Apparently "Blue Fox" theme is not letting me get into options - thanks for the help.

It is possible that you have a theme that isn't compatible with the currently used about:preferences page.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

You can toggle browser.preferences.inContent to false on the about:config page: page via a double-click to restore the standalone Options/Preferences window that you had in previous Firefox versions.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
