Hi!

I understand that your keyboard works in every application of your computer but Firefox. Is it only the URL bar or you can't type in forms either?

This seems to be related to some add-on taking over. My suggestion is to try Safe mode: Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox and if that works, you can try to use Firefox Reset: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

Did you try to reboot the computer?

Do you have multiple keyboard layouts installed?

It is possible that you have switched the keyboard layout by accident.

Windows remembers the keyboard layout setting per application and you may have changed the keyboard layout by accident via a keyboard shortcut.

Hi, thanks for reply. I have one keyboard layout and shortcuts switched off. I`m not 100% sure, but I think I made it working back by pressing WinKey+LeftShift. I made few tries now and there is something to deal with WinKey+Fn (dell`s laptop). After pressing that combinations firefox doesn`t see keyboard. WinKey+LeftShift make it working back. Thanks anyway!

In my case the symptoms were a little different, as follows: I would type words and for example the word 'and' would show up as 'annd' or 'adn'--- i.e, sometimes or doubling or sometimes inverting the order of typing. I cleared the add-ons and for now at least the problem seems to be solved. Thx.
