Firefox isn't remembering my last used window size or toolbar configuration after I close the application and restart it.

It reverts back to the default. I've tried cleaning out all traces of Firefox with App Zapper, then reinstalling it, but no luck the same problem persists. Could it perhaps be a problem with my computer? I'm using no extensions.

This is caused by a corrupt file in your profile folder, for details on how to fix it see Changes to toolbars and window sizes are not saved.

As you found out, removing Firefox will not fix this, the corrupt file is not part of the Firefox installation directory, instead it is in the profile folder where user data and settings are stored.

Ok that fixed it, but I've experienced the problems in Windows, and an older install of OS X in the same computer, perhaps the corrupt file could be caused by a bad hard drive?
