Where are these weather conditions from?
The weather conditions on the Firefox New Tab page are sourced from AccuWeather.

How is my location determined?
To see weather conditions for your location, Firefox uses your IP address to determine your approximate location. This information is then used to provide relevant weather conditions for your area.

Do you share my IP address?
When the weather feature is enabled, Firefox doesn’t share your IP address or any personally identifiable information (PII) outside Mozilla servers.

Does this feature use my location or other information if it’s disabled?
No, if the weather feature on the New Tab page is disabled, the related weather services and APIs are also disabled and no information is used.

Why do I see “Sponsored” next to AccuWeather – what does this mean?
Firefox may receive revenue if you visit the AccuWeather website to see a more detailed weather forecast.

For more details on the weather feature, see How it works - Firefox Weather.
