Emails sent to SFR.FR fail: recipient domain rejected (blacklisted by local policy)

Pierrette Young

Since about November 2025, all the mails I try to sent to @sfr.fr addresses (different recipients) fail and I get the following message: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <xxx.xxxx@sfr.fr> recipient domain rejected (blacklisted by local policy).

Please check the message recipient "xxx.xxxx@sfr.fr" and try again

I did not have this problem before. If I use Greenby's web mail (My email provider ), the messages are sent without any problem. I would very much appreciate some help to solve this problem! P.Y: pemy@pemyoung.plus.com

the blacklist might be your internet provider's IP address. I suggest contacting them

When I tried to contact SFR, to pass the automatic answering machine I was asked to give the number of my SFR line... And, of course, I don't have a SFR line... I cannot seem to be able to find a way of contacting SFR without being a customer. Tried the bot... same problem

But you are a customer there. Puzzling. I did locate a blacklist check site, but don't know if it can assist: https://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
