Had to re-install Thunderbird (60.9.1). My internet provider is Spectrum. When I try to send or receive email, I get message "connection to server.mail.twc.com timed out"

you have too create a security key with ATT .. Here is the link. You will also have to open up Thunderbird as it will bring you thru steps and how to enter the key once you get it. Make sure you write the key down for future use. https://www.att.com/support/article/email-support/KM1240308 Once the key is put into your passwords, you will have to close thunderbird and reopen. That is how I got mine fixed.
