- Update settings can be changed in Firefox Options. Click the menu button
and choose Options. In the General panel, scroll down to the Firefox Updates section.
In the Firefox Updates section, you can choose the update option you prefer:
- Automatically install updates (recommended)
- Check for updates but let you choose to install them
- Never check for updates (not recommended)
Also turn off Use a background service to install updates
