www.ohio.com/ won't let me logon. IE works fine. It used to work.
When I go to this newspaper website I can get neither logon nor "Sections" to work. Might have started since last update, not sure. IE does work. Other spurious things happen, like delayed logon display, something like "a page is slowing Firefox down". Firefox is up to date according to "About Firefox" in help.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
You will need to restart Firefox for this to take effect so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.,) and then perform these steps:
In Firefox 54 and below:
- Click the menu button
and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac, Linux).
- Select the Advanced panel and the General tab.
- Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Close Firefox completely and then restart Firefox to see if the problem persists.
In Firefox 55 and above:

Tried all these suggestions, but still have the problem. Since just one website I will ignore for now. Or resort to IE or Edge.
Actually you are not up to date. Version 56.0.1 is latest version. You can uninstall Firefox and go to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ and get the Full Version Installer.
Note there are issues in everything for everyone and each different.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Good idea, now it says I have 56.0.1. But same result.
If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks and history and cookies and passwords and cache and exceptions, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.
If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
Well you may have to live with the issue as each browser displays bad coding differently or will make adjustments for the bad code. Since this is new version and are gearing up for Firefox 57 Quantum release date Nov 14th (maybe) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/quantum/
When I say bad code it is very bad coding and the reason why you are having issues. All web pages and browsers are suppose to adhere to the W3C.org (World Wide Web Consortium) practices and standards. Code is tested before publishing usually. In this case Ohio.com has not and you should contact them. HTML https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ohio.com%2F CSS https://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=ohio.com&profile=css3&usermedium=all&warning=1&vextwarning=&lang=en has 104 errors, 461 warnings SO it is no wonder you are having issues and thats just on the ohio.com page only.
I hope this clarifies the issue and why it is not displaying properly. Version 57 might display it properly, or not.
Note : I just went to the page and Java scripts locked me up and crashed the page.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Modified
I agree with you, and stated as much in my first reply. Usually these are temporary problems that are solved in days or weeks as changes are made on both ends (Firefox and problem Web pages). This appears to be on the web page, namely ohio.com. I can wait it out. I don't see this problem anywhere else.
