How to make links display correctly in received emails

Good afternoon.

When I receive emails such as password resets, or email verifications, etc., they always contain a line such as "click the link to verify your email", and they never display correctly like they do in other email programs, and I have to literally copy and paste the link in a web browser manually.

Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing?

what does "display correctly" man to you. I see nothing wrong in the image you have posted.

It is not a clickable link, so I don't have to highlight the whole thing, open a browser manually, then paste it in the URL box. That was my question is what do I need to do in the config / settings of Thunderbird to make them clickable links?

The same email in Outlook and all web based browsers is, in fact, clickable.

Much appreciated!
