I have been using emails without problem until recently but since a few days ago, it suddenly happened that I now cannot attach files. I have reinstalled software but still I cannot. I was asked to ask email provider so I asked nifty but they have not responded. Another issue, after reinstalled software, description is now shown in English. I can understand it but I would like to know how it can change to Japanese. I would appreciate very much if someone can help to solve this issue. Thank you very much. redacted@nifty.com

Have got a replacement computer, and downloaded the latest TBird (having used it with AOL) for years). Following initial set up procedure, TB detects correct settings for AOL and the "enter password" page opens from AOL succcessfully for authorisation. AOL requires 2 factor authorisation, and I use a phone code for this.

However the speed at which the code arrives from AOL has always varied quite a bit, and today it is taking almost a minute so the TB set up screen is timing out long before the code arrives. Cant go on retrying as I will get locked out of the account. No point in going for manual set up as the auto settings are correct, so the same problem is going to occur. I have three AOL e-mail addresses to set up! Is there a workaround of some sort for this - its terribly frustrating and the set up screen "connect your e-mail settings" timeout period does seem quite short if you have to wait for a 2FA phone code or e-mail code - any delay in the arrival of which is completely ouside your control . When I try to send out an email, I receive an error message that states, Sending of message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <cjmst61@charternet> sender rejected. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again. Was kann ich tun? Habe Probleme mit mozilla. Bei derAuführung der Programme Thunderbird ( ständig ) und Firefox ( manchmal ) kommt es zu Abstürzen wie Programm keine Rückmeldung, einfrieren so das keine Eingaben mehr möglich sind und ich jedesmal das Programm schließen und neu starten muß.

And the moment I uninstalled Thunderbird it stopped notifying it. And then I reinstalled it, same started happening. It hijacks the system and if I am writing, it stops that and wants me to see that notification (which all antiviruses wants to). Even worse is that I cant find any setting in McAfee to stop this notification.

I am frustrated now. Can you help on this?

I am unable to access my emails in Thunderbird. Thunderbird opened but does not respond as there appear to be some files /emails that it could not accessed.

I tried deleting the Parent.lock file. I then deleted Thunderbird and re-installed it.

On opening the updated instance, it comes up with the same couple of files/emails in the list. With the same ones seemingly trying to be loaded. See attachment. The files are Invoice 03-10-20 and Ticket_1.pdf

Since updating to the latest versions of TB I keep seeing ??? in messages. When I search in Firefox it says to change message encoding using an option under the view menu. But I can't find such an option.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

Can't get rid of this spam: ecare.all.r@emailff.att-mail.com Unfortunately I clicked on it and multiple spam sites came up. I've tried the spam filter and it doesn't work. Suggestions?

I have/had two different problems with the same results. In the first case I get the login window. I enter the password hit return and that window goes away and some times you can scroll to different opened emails before it says "Not Responding". The only action that works is to exit the app. Usually after a few days or weeks it will start working and does so for a few days or weeks. Lately the login window does not appear when the app opens and it displays the "Not Responding" message. It shows that it is "Loading Message". I have tried all of the options from the troubleshooting window and reinstalled Thunderbird with no change in response> Where do I go from here?

Since yesterdayevening I am experiencing problems with connecting to imap.one.com with all four of my accounts in Thunderbird 157.0.1 (64-bits). It says something like "Connecting to the server at imap.one.com with username XX@XX.XX failed" (translated to English) Mailsystem at one.com (webmail) and in my Android (Bluemail-app) works fine. I tried to fill in the right passwords, even changed a password and tried the new one, but still no effect.

When I send an email with my HTML file signature Thunderbird appends a text signature as well. The text signature is not visible in the draft email, and is not in the settings. The text signature is added for separate identity with no signature enabled. I want to stop this. Any ideas please?

Hi there, I have several email accounts I use Tbird to manage. One of those is a hotmail account. I have the settings setup correctly for IMAP synchronization. But, after the initial pull of messages, the connection to the server seems to fail? For example, I open tbird, it pulls in new messages, run filters, etc... If I come back and try to reply to a message, the outgoing server will timeout (if you test the outgoing server in settings, it connects. If you reply as soon as you open tbird, it will send a message from that outlook account). I believe this issue is more than just the outgoing server. For example, if I move an email to a different folder, it won't register the move until I reopen tbird? Similarly, sometimes if I try to open a message after tbird has been running for a while, the message will not open/fail to load.

These issues seem to be impacting only this outlook account. I'm really not sure where to go with troubleshooting and looking for guidance.

I have my Google Calendar added through the network/gmail account process. I can see the events from my Google cal in TBird. When I accept an invite that came into my email in TB, it gets added to the TB calendar but never syncs back to my Google cal. Looking at the Error Console, I keep getting "Server Replied with 500"' errors (full error code is below).

I already tried all the online steps - delete/add calendar, clear password, reset OAuth token, still get the same issue.

I'm running Thunderbird 157 64bit for Google email, Calendar & Tasks. This has worked nicely for months even after the upgrade to 157. Today Calendar & Tasks fail to connect and are completely blank. Apparently the Add-on 128.5.12 (Philipp Kewisch) that made this work has been disabled for some reason. Please don't tell me that Thunderbird has suddenly decided Google Calendar and Tasks just aren't needed by anyone anymore. There is no new connector available that I can find, just a suggestion to go back to an older version of Thunderbird? Please help me understand. Thanks!
