hi all. if i create a new blank Task it automatically pre-selects today's date as the start date, and if i create a Task from an email it sets the date the email was received as the start date. i know can filter tasks lists, and hide columns, but the real issue is how it looks on the calendar; with the fixed start date, setting a due date in a month's time results in a fixed, ongoing task for a month. is there any plugin or setting that will just stop TB setting a start date that i can't change, or letting me explicitly set it myself?

Unfortunately, for some time now, the "Recent Destinations" list remains very small and most folders, regardless of how recently I moved messages to them, do not show up on the list.

I have tried quitting TB, deleting folderCache.json, but that makes no difference. The list stays the same, and it does not get updated for most folders.

Maybe that approach is no longer a panacea :-) and there is some other way to fix this?

When I try to install my account Office 365 for my association's account (XXXX@patapon95.fr) it doesn't word with Thunderbird (I can connect on Outlook on the same account). I can also connect with my personnal acount on xxxx@outlook.fr on Thunderbird.

Suddenly, I can no longer send emails anywhere. I can still receive emails. I use KDDI, and I contacted them, but they said there are no issues with their servers. I can send emails using webmail. It seems to be an issue with Thunderbird. The message shown in the attachment appears, and I get an error. Please let me know how to fix this.

I was just notified that my email provider is ending service after 30 years. I need to move all my folders and messages from my old Provalue account to a new Gmail account. Is there an easy way to do this? Can I just change the account name and password as well as the server settings? They are both Pop3 accounts. I also need to point 131 message filters to the new Gmail account. Is there a way to do this without having to rewrite all of the filters? Do I need to copy all of the folders and messages to the new account manually? I have 30 years of emails that I still refer back to occasionally. I need help, what do I do? Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

My email is very slow since I moved it to my new Dell laptop, sending, reading new messages, deleting and moving, NOT old messages. It was also slow on my old tower PC, but not this slow. I might leave Thunderbird if this continues. Not worth my time. Thank you!

Previous Colors add-on is apparently not him compatible with the most recent version of Thunderbird which installed itself in the last few days.

Does anyone know if it updates to that plug-in is anticipated?

If not, are there any similar add-ons available?

I accidentally moved a Google calendar notification to the spam folder 1 time and now I can't get TB to stop putting them in there. I reset the training data and created a message filter to catch them but they still automatically go into my spam folder. How do I get these messages to go to my inbox instead of spam?

When attempting to set up an e-mail account for Zoho e-mail I get an authentication error. It says: "Unable to log in. Probably wrong configuration, username of password." I disabled Account Hub, tried again, but this did not solve the problem, and I get the same authentication error. I tried several other things, using manual configuration, copying instructions from the Zoho website, but none of them worked. They all ended with the error message, "Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account." The server and port settings are correct. The username and password are correct. What is the problem?

It's been for a few days since somehow it became unable to send mail. The error message is "The message could not be sent because we were unable to connect to the outgoing (SMTP) server smtp.gmail.com. The server may be unavailable, or the SMTP connection may have been rejected. Please verify that your outgoing (SMTP) server settings are correct and try again. Problem is I cannot see any mistake in my smtp setting. Some help much appreciated. Thank you.

Thunderbird stopped syncing with my GMX email accounts (I have several) a couple of days ago. It keeps reporting that the attempted connection has timed out. I haven't changed any settings on either Thunderbird nor GMX. Any idea why and how to fix it?

Recently switched ISPs to a fiber internet company. After the switch, now whenever I try access my comcast email tunderbird gives me a message that my IP is temporarily blacklisted. I get two messages. One is a windows notification that says the blacklisted message, and then a popup message from tunderbird that it cannot log in. I have contacted my ISP to ask them what's up with the blacklist, but what's weird is that I can seem to access these accounts fine through Outlook, which would seem to indicate that there is some issue with tunderbird. I'd really rather use tunderbird than outlook. Can somebody help me with this?

The few articles I could find on this all suggest changing the IPv6 setting but I checked that and it is already set to what they suggest.

I tried deleting the account and recreating it in tunderbird, but it won't go through it says it can't log into the account.
