When I click on a websites link, nothing happens and I get a "javascript:;" message in a greyed out box at the bottom left
It's on a credit union website I go to, when I click on certain tabs I, nothing will happen but I will notice "javascript;:" appears at the bottom left of the browser while I attempt to click on the tab. It works with every other browser and I have tried resetting firefox into safe mode but I still have that problem.

Hi!
Could you share the page with us? It could be that the problem is with the site itself and it's not Firefox.
Does it happen with other browsers? (Chrome, Internet Explorers, etc)
Ibai
I you see javascript: then that means that there is an onclick event attached to the link, so make sure that you aren't blocking JavaScript if such a link isn't working.
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
The website is USAA.com. When I try to click on "Our Products" or "Advice Center," I get nothing and a small greyed-out box appears at the bottom saying "javascript;:"
This only happens on my latest edition of Firefox on my desktop. Whats strange is that I have a laptop right next to my computer with the latest version of firefox and the website works fine on my laptop. Any insight?
I appreciate your input, but it didn't work for my desktop. Would you have any other solutions I can try?
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
