Firefox 4 does not delete recent history. Is this a bug?
I downloaded Firefox 4 yesterday and today I find that it does not clear my recent history. Yesterday it worked OK with the previous version. I am running WinXP

Click the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | Privacy and checkmark "Clear history when Firefox closes".
That would probably fix it thanks, but I want to choose how long a time interval to delete, not everything. I was using the Tools/Clear recent history route that did not work.
OK, then hit CTRL+SHIFT+DEL to get the dialog box you see in the screenshot and then choose one of the options in the top menu.
Thanks Xircal. I tried your suggestion and it didn't seem to work so then I tried the Tools/Clear option and ...it worked. Thanks for your help. I will watch how things go over the next day or so.

Um ... still doesn't work. Sorry bub. I've tried everything and still nothing works ... I enter www.facebook.com or any of my other sites, and I'm already logged in even after a shutdown and restart both of firefox and/or windows xp.
