Several sites I frequently visit have the option to skip the verification code process "for this browser". Although I check the box for this choice, the next time I go to log in there, it still requires me to go through the process. What do I have to do to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help!

Spectrum recently updated their email systems and Firefox can no longer be used to check Spectrum webmail email accounts. I used to be able to go directly to the webmail but now they make you log into your Spectrum account to get to the email accounts and there is something about Firefox that is not up to their security standards. I am running Windows 7 with the latest Firefox that will work in 7. I am also running the Brave browser on Windows 7 and that works with the new Spectrum system. I prefer using Firefox over Brave so could you please correct whatever deficiency exists in Firefox to make it compatible with Spectrum webmail?

FYI, Firefox on my Windows 10 machine has the same issue.

Firefox Desktop issue,

McAfee malware has entered the Firefox browser a couple of days ago claiming viruses have been detected & requires me to click on their popup to remove it. Additional warning follow and reoccur every couple of minutes. I don’t have McAfee Anti-virus software on my computer & have not installed any new software for some time. The anti-software I have works fine (Spybot & Microsoft Security Essentials) and detects no problems. The first application I initiate upon boot-up each morning is Firefox and that’s when the problem begins. It is somehow related to Firefox. I cannot find any processes in play.

I’m using Windows 7 Pro

Sincerely, [removed email from support forum]

I tried all six free malware scanning programs suggested but nothing found

I am taking a course on Coursera, and while the video lessons are viewable on my W10 box running Firefox 142.0.1 (64-bit), on my W7 box running Firefox 115.27.0esr (64-bit) the Coursera page, after briefly displaying the lesson's home page, which includes the normal video playback window, reports "This page encountered an error." I have contacted Coursera, to no avail, and now seek advice from you all. I suppose I can not return on my W7 box to the normal Firefox non-esr releases, but was something changed therein of late that would cause this? It all worked well in July, but now won't work at all. You likely can not access the page without being a registered student, but just in case, the URL is https://www.coursera.org/learn/html/lecture/d6Pha/accessible-web

The site chatgpt.com demands challenges.cloudflare.com to be allowed. I visited this site and allowed cookies. Then it worked. However, the chatgpt.com site froze and when I reloaded it, I had to start all over again. This time, the request for challenges.cloudflare.com remains, even though a URL attachment is reloaded every few seconds. The same thing happens on the openai.com site and several other. I'm using windows 7.1 and ESET Smart Security Premium.
