Web page elements (top of webpage, not FF bar) erased after loading.
Since yesterday, I've taken some steps to correct this problem that were suggested under the "Page Elements Missing" thread on the community. I looked for unusual addresses in the Options>Page info>Media tab : (data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAEAAABfCAMAAAAeT108AAAABlBMVEX////W1tZkFI+EAAAAAXRSTlMAQObYZgAAABdJREFUeNrVwwENAAAAwiDev7Q5ZEP8HhKOADGMXVvVAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC) However, the check box for removing this element does not appear and so it can't be removed. I also tried removing the stored cache and a number of cookies that look like advertising tracking cookies. I ran the Norton NPE scan to find rootkits and other deep malware, but it found none.
After all this, I opened a new Firefox window and that window itself! Since the "Page Elements mistsing" thread has been ended, I am asking for a fix, ASAP please!

That is a png image.
You can encode such an image inline via base64 code instead of using a file and that is what is done in this case.
If you paste that URL in the location bar then you see a faint vertical line.
Did you try the usual steps and check for problems caused by extensions?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
