Ever since I've upgraded to Firefox 5 the flash plugin crashes on almost every page. Is there a solution to this?

looking for a solution here mozilla...kinda lame to force a major upgrade without one of the more common plugins tested thoroughly

I had this problem but I've solved it I think. My old $home/.mozilla folder had several folders to do with previous updates. I renamed it old_mozilla, and copied the firefox and extensions folder into a newly created .mozilla folder. The flash plugin now seems to be fine, as do my bookmarks and passwords.

My system is PClinuxOS2010. Hope this helps
