Detail like websites remembering you and log you in automatically is stored in cookies, so make sure you aren't clearing important cookies.

I already have the website (https://asana.com/) saved to my allow exceptions list. I already have delete cache when browser closes unchecked, as well as delete history when browser closes. They're both unchecked and it saves both of them apparently. So none of that is working to keep me logged in.

I think that is all that you mentioned, except that you also said Make sure to keep the "Site settings". I don't know where that is. I don't see that in settings anywhere. Even when I search settings for it, it does not come up.

Clearing the cache shouldn't matter for this issue as this is about keeping a special session ID cookie to authenticates you.

The "Site settings" are part of the "Clear history when Firefox closes" settings and the "Clear Recent History" (Ctrl+Shift+Del) settings.

I would have to assume that if the browser is keeping me logged in to all the other websites I go to, then it can't be clearing this special ID cookie. If it was clearing the history when I closed the browser then I would lose the special ID cookie from these other websites too wouldn't I?

The login cookie for Asana could possibly be located on a different subdomain. Visit the login page and press Ctrl+I > Permissions > Set cookies > Allow.

Yes, set cookies is set to Allow, and it still doesn't keep me logged in when I close the browser and come back.

Any other ideas, or is reinstalling Firefox my next and last option?

Try unticking "Offline website data" in the "Clear history when Firefox closes" settings.

Does it still happen in a new profile without signing into sync? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.

I don't see a "Offline website data" anywhere to untick. I'm not sure where you see that in the settings. As far as clearing history, I have three options: Remember history, never remember history, and use customs settings. I have it set to Remember history thinking that it would not delete coolies or anything that way. In use custom settings there is also not a "Offline website data" to untick.

I don't use sync. I only use Asana on one browser, so I never tried to sync it from one browser or device to another. I log into Asana, if that also logs you into sync automatically then I guess I am logging into sync. But if you have to log into sync separately somehow then I don't ever log into sync.

I have already tried refreshing my firefox browser. That did not help.

"Offline website data" is one of the choices in "Clear Recent History" (Ctrl+Shift+Delete) and in the Settings for "Clear history when Firefox closes" like posted above. "Clear history when Firefox closes" is in the same section as the other history settings.

Note that selecting "Use custom settings for history" isn't making changes to history settings, it merely allows to inspect and modify individual history settings and is automatically selected when at least one setting doesn't have the default value (i.e. you have made changes).

Note that using the Firefox refresh feature can transfer issues to the new profile as Firefox tries to transfer/recover some data from the old profile to the new profile. Using the Profile Manager to create a new profile creates a fresh new profile and is better suited for testing as it allows to return to the old profile anytime unlike a refresh that moves the old profile to the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop.

I still couldn't find a "offline website data", until I put in the (Ctrl + Shift + delete) and then it showed in the window that opened up. But it was already unchecked.

I followed the instructions in that link above to create a new firefox profile. I named the new one "2nd Profile". Then opened it from the button on the screen. (I am not sure how to find it from the file path as I'm not sure in the final folder which one opens it and it didn't add another firefox icon or shortcut. So I have no idea how to open the 2nd profile accept from the page that gave me the button to open it.) Anyway, I opened it from that button and logged into Asana. And then closed that firefox. Opened it again from the button in the page. Went back to Asana and it didn't not keep me logged in.

I checked stuff in the settings - everything looked right. I added the login page and asana's page as an allowed exception. Closed that firefox again, and opened it back up again - went back to Asana's login and logged in. Closed it again. Opened it again, and tried to log back in, but it still isn't keeping me logged in.
