Adobe Flash Player
Adobe recommends uninstalling their flash player before the end of the year as it will not be available after that. I don't know what it does or what to replace it with, or even if I need to. I use a computer but I don't know how or why it works. I hope someone can help me. Thank you so much.

Flash player was used to animate websites and provide services like video-players or or online games. In the last years flash player was replaced by other more secure and advanced technologys and most of websites changed. When the support of flash ends at 31.Dec 2020 there won't be any updates or fixed security vulnerabilities, so to secure your device you should uninstall it until then. There are only few outdated websites still using flash, so you don't need to replace it.
