I cannot compose or reply email in Firefox but I can in other browsers

Everything works on my PC except I cannot compose or reply to email. I can put name & subject in but not the body. Yet I can do it on my smart phone. I can also do it on other browsers, just not Firefox. My internet provider says it is because Firefox did an upgrade & I should uninstall Firefox & reinstall it. I checked on that & my Firefox is up to date. Please Help.
