I learned recently that Mozilla put a cheesy piece of code of whatever in firefox called plugincontainer. Whenever it comes on it slows down and sometimes locks up the computer leaving a hard shut down the only solution.

Is there any solution to this?

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
