Why can't I drag/drop tabs on the tab strip, anymore?

I used to easily drag/drop both my regular & pinned tabs, to reorganize them on the tab strip. They now, no longer budge--your help will be greatly appreciated! This only started after recently updating to the latest Firefox browser. Might this be a factor?

It took a frustrating amount of tries to get to this page. I was repeatedly rerouted back to questions whose replies didn't, anywhere near, answer my issue. I'd like suggestions for, if in the future, the same thing happens.

Thank you, very much!

Hello,

Unfortunately, looking at your modified preferences you may have some malware on your computer that might be causing it. Please follow this guide first to remove it and see if the problem goes away:

Let us know if that solves your problem!

Hello Diana, probably the problem is the CursorMania extension you have, try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

  • click the menu button New Fx Menu, click Help Help-29 and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
Safe Mode Fx 15 - Win

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

thank you

I don't have Conduit & tried disabling a couple add-ons...this didn't work either. Thanks, anyway.
