HOW TO PERMANENTLY DELETE BOOKMARKS AND HISTORY FROM MY COMPUTER?
Bookmarks and history still appear after choosing settings to delete.
This is not a PERMANENT DELETION.
I WANT THESE BOOKMARKS AND HISTORY PERMANENTLY DELETED FROM MY COMPUTER AND NOT TO APPEAR WITH A STAR NEXT TO THEM WHEN I TYPE ONE LETTER.
How do I do this?

Bookmarks should delete properly but sometimes there may be problems, but may I ask some other questions first so that I may try to give the correct advice.
- Are you trying to delete every bookmark you have ?
or just some of them ? - Has it they been ok when deleting bookmarks before
- yes/no, not tried before
- May I ask any particular reason you wish to delete these bookmarks ?
- Is it just because you do not wish them to show in the address bar,and the addressbar listing ?
(You may prevent that but keep the bookmarks) - SEE Remove websites from the address bar suggestions

It would help to have similar information about History. Note also the private browsing option that prevents History etc being saved for a particular Window.
