Hello,

I hope someone can help me with this little issue.

I’ve downloaded firefox to my ipad and every link I click, it opens in a new tab, instead of staying in the same window. I find it quite confusing. Especially when I had a couple of tabs open already. So everytime I clicked a new link,I didn’t immediately see that I opened another tab, and kept clicking the link (thinking it didn’t work), until I had multiple tabs opened, but they weren’t visible in the tab bar. It’s not very user friendly to me.

Is it possible to prevent a link from opening in a new tab? I’ve looked into the settings, but for the life of me, I’ve not been able to find a solution.

Can someone guide me here?

Thanks in advance,

Best, I

I work with senior citizens and some people with disabilities. I am trying to support them and simplifying everything as much as possible.

One woman only has use of one arm and one finger. She now uses 1Password she prefers Firefox.

I cannot figure out how to enable auto fill features for her account verification request requests from email (yahoo) and iphone messages. Also, I want her personal contact info to autofill (we did fill out her contact card in Apple contacts.

She uses a Mac desktop. Does something have to be enabled on each device or just within Apple and Firefox?

I do not want Mozilla to fill in Passwords because we’re using the 1Password. I am confused about what to enable on the iPhone settings and what to enable on the mozilla browser. Apple refused to help me with Firefox features. Please help.

Hi! If I click a link that is meant to redirect somewhere else (and I know that they do that properly on other browsers so it isn’t an issue with the links themselves because I recently switched and they worked fine) it doesn’t work. For example, if I click on a link to a news article through a post on X/Twitter,rather than redirecting to the site, Firefox just stays on a page that says “A server with the specified hostname could not be found“. I’ve looked at the settings in the Firefox app and haven’t found anything that solves this but I hope there’s just something I’m missing because it’s very frustrating

Editing text in data entry fields is difficult when using Firefox for iOS. Cut and paste are often unavailable. There is no way to move the cursor in any direction other than backspace. Delete should be available as well as nondestructive cursor movement.

My attempts to place a cursor then move it in a field usually fail.
Try these cursor movements on Mozilla’s own Firefox support pages.
Oddly, the text entry field for this comment is better behaved, Still it lacks many of the cursor movements I mentioned here.
